How Past Life Patterns Shaped My Path to Empowerment
This past year has been one of the most beautifully challenging chapters of my life. It has tested me, stretched me, and taught me lessons that I never thought I needed. It has been a year of making space—for myself, my dreams, and for those I love most.
When my husband moved back home, I felt an overwhelming wave of joy and relief. After three years of marriage spent with him stationed three hours away due to the Navy, seeing him only on weekends, the thought of having him home full-time felt like a dream come true. It was exhausting, yes, but also deeply rewarding—a testament to the love and commitment that carried us through the years of distance.
On the professional front, the year demanded just as much recalibration. My Reiki business and behavioral health billing work both presented opportunities for growth, albeit through discomfort. I found myself standing at a crossroads, forced to be honest about who I am, what I offer, and who I’m meant to serve.
I let go of clients who no longer aligned with my vision, clients who viewed Reiki as a quick fix rather than a journey of transformation. For too long, I had poured energy into spaces that drained me, feeling the weight of expectations that were never mine to carry. This year, I chose differently. I raised my rates—not out of greed, but out of self-respect. I’ve come to understand that my energy is sacred, and my offerings are for those who are ready to honor that, who are ready to meet their own healing with reverence and accountability.
