Write A Letter To Your Future Self

October 5, 2016

"Tension is who you think you should be.  Relaxation is who you are.” ~Chinese Proverb

I enjoy journaling, a lot. So naturally one day I decided to write a letter to my future self. One of my most favorite things to do is go back and read my previous journal entries so this seemed right up my alley!

Get yourself a pen

Imagine yourself 1 year from now, October 5th 2017. Answer some of the questions below, or any you may have yourself. Ideas are welcome :)

What do you want to say to yourself?

What do you want to be like, one year from now?

What are your goals?

What are your desires in your career, love life and friendships?

What is your spirituality like?

What fears have you overcome in the last year? (So, what fear is holding you back right now that you hope is gone by next year)

Have you done much personal growth in the last year?

Fold it up. Put it in your envelope and seal it. On the front, address it to yourself and write, "Open: October 6, 2017" or whatever the date is a year from when you write your letter.

(You may find putting a reminder in your phone, 1 year from now, helpful!)

Most importantly, no matter what, love who you'll become. I know  you're going to accomplish a lot in the next year, so it will be fun for you to open this up next year and see how far you've come.
