Tasty Tuesday: Coconut Oil Mouthwash

SO, not "meal" oriented today, but oral health care related!

Yes, I promise the toothpaste recipe will come soon too. We are almost out so the measurements have to happen this week, haha! I will write it down and share ASAP.

Back to the coconut oil mouthwash though. Life. Changing. 1. It doesn't burn my mouth and eye sockets out. 2. It tastes like Christmas if you use cinnamon or clove (what? I enjoy Christmas all year round!! 3. Its natural, no dyes, no sugars, no other chemicals. 4. Coconut oil = antiviral, anti-fungal and antibacterial.

Plus its super easy.

To start, find a super cute mason jar as usual. PS. Saw a tutorial on painting them. Obviously I need to paint a few sea mint green, teal and purple.

Compile the following ingredients into your mason jar:

1/2 spring water

1 teaspoon melted coconut oil

2-3 drops of your favorite essential oil, peppermint, thieves/on-guard, cinnamon, clove, wintergreen, tea tree--whatever you'd like but the above is phenomenal for killing germs.

1 pinch of sea salt

Shake it up every time prior to use, if needed: melt the coconut oil by placing jar in a sink half full of warm water in your bathroom.

**PS: If you're nursing, stay away from the mints! It may drop your supply!

***PSS: This is such a small amount of coconut oil, I don't think it clogs pipes, but if you're concerned, just spit it out into your trash can like you would if you do oil pulling!

Love,

Nichole
